Representative Clay Ingram Tours Century Academy in Anticipation of Public Open House on August 4th
Century, FL – Century Academy, LLC proudly hosted Representative Clay Ingram along with associates from the Florida Small Business Development Center for a private meeting on Tuesday, July 19th at the newly renovated Century Academy at 440 East Hecker Road. An informative discussion of the new school, an update on the construction and more ways to bring help to the community of Century were discussed. Century Academy is a private, non-profit K-12 school that specializes in teaching children diagnosed with Autism and other related learning disabilities and will open for students in August for the 2016-17 school year.
This private meeting will be followed up with a public open house on Thursday, August 4th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at 440 East Hecker Road. Anyone interested in learning more about the school and seeing the school is welcome to attend. Representative Ingram has committed to attending the open house. Staff from all three locations of East Hill Academy will also be in attendance to answer any questions and welcome the community.
“I’m so excited about the opening of Century Academy! This school has the potential to change the entire face of the community and raise the bar economically for the community and personally for the children for years to come,” says Representative Ingram.
“We are very excited to show the community the wonderful changes to bring this old building back to life and to be able to enrich the Century community. The students will absolutely love the rainforest and ocean themes. It is a beautiful place but one that is carefully designed to enhance the educational experience for children with autism and other learning disorders,” says Barbara Barber, director of Century Academy.
At the present time there are two types of scholarships available, the John McKay scholarship and the Gardiner scholarship. These scholarships generally cover the cost of tuition for a student attending a private school. Century Academy is now actively in the second phase of registration for the John McKay scholarship. This scholarship has a September 1st deadline to file an intent notice.
Ms. Barber will meet prospective parents to register students at the school’s location, 440 East Hecker Road by appointment only. Parents can call the Pensacola location at (850) 437-5560 Monday through Thursday to schedule an appointment.
Century Academy, LLC is a subsidiary of East Hill Academy, Inc. Ms. Barber is an experienced business owner with East Hill Academy’s primary location in Pensacola and a second location in Milton.
